What is a Loser
A “loser” is someone who is not living up to their potential. That is how we are defining it, against the traditional use, which may be associated with bullying behavior that we do not condone.
Being a loser means someone has the potential to be(come), but through weakness or sickness of their spirit, they underperform to their abilities and do not become.
Acceptable losers pursue pleasures that are accepted by society, but ultimately, their lifestyle leads to an unfulfilling life sewn with regret and wasted talent.
Acceptable losers do not live up to their best selves.
Losers die with wasted talent, the worst thing in the world.
Losers are flowers who never bloom. When they face death, they feel the crushing weight of regret for never having bloomed, whether by fear, laziness, or other sin.
The blooming flower is prepared for death.
The blooming flower does not fear death.
You can lose and not “be” a loser. Being something is not the same thing as experiencing something. What you do with experience and how you take it into the future is what matters.
There are some common behavior patterns among acceptable losers. These are not traits, because losers can break these patterns at any time.
We’ve identified 3 common behavior patterns shared amongst losers; we’ve called them The Trinity of The Loser.
The Trinity of The Loser:
- Living Through Entertainment
- Softcore vices
- Inauthentic sexual experiences
All behavior patterns of the trinity of the loser involve the pursuit of pleasure, or traversing paths that do not build mastery, therfore they cannot be fulfilled.
Living Through Entertainment
Entertainment exists to serve as a respite from the toils of labor along the path to mastery.
When entertainment is abused by being pursued, AKA living through entertainment, entertainment can lead you to ruin by taking you off the path to mastery. The path to mastery is where fulfillment is found.
Abused sources of entertainment can include Television, Movies, Video games, and worst, social media and other short-form, attention-span-destroying entertainment.
Living through entertainment is neglecting your life in exchange for faux-fulfillment. A lie.
Those who pursue entertainment pursue faux-fulfillment; simulated fulfillment that does provide internal or external rewards.
Entertainment is observed purpose. The watcher watches, and believes what they are watching is their purpose being performed; watchers put themselves onto the heroes of the stories they are watching.
Heroes of entertainment are the avatars of watchers.
This is why people buy the jerseys of athletes, do cosplay, get clothing their heroes wear, get tattoos their hero has, or of them, and other actions to simulate their heroes. By doing this, they are sharing in the identity of the hero, regardless of whether or not the hero is aware of this.
Sharing the identity of a hero for spiritual inspiration for your life and your pursuits, when you are resting from the exhausting nature of your pursuits of mastery, is a wonderful behavior that should be encouraged.
Sometimes it can be better not to meet your heroes because they may not live up to their legend; use their legends to inspire you, and you have properly engaged with your heroes.
There isn’t anything wrong with entertainment, as long as it is used for spiritual inspiration and respite from the path, and does not become the path itself, because entertainment cannot be fulfilled.
If you remember anything in this article, remember the message above.
Movies, video games, sports, all provide simulated fulfillment.
Engage with entertainment when you have pursued fulfillment on the path and need rest from your pursuits. Use entertainment for simulated fulfillment to inspire the spirit to return to the path.
Softcore vices
Softcore vices are legal and culturally acceptable pleasures.
Softcore vices can be alcohol, food, sugar, weed, and so much more.
Legally, you can drink yourself to death. But it’s illegal to heroin or cocaine yourself to death…which doesn’t stop people from doing it.
You can eat yourself to death, and people do; the number one cause of death in America is heart disease, with 683,491 deaths in 2024. There are zero reported deaths in America in 2024 from starvation.
Softcore vices can be more malicious than hardcore vices because they are societally and culturally acceptable. You can tell a heroin abuser their way of life is going to kill them. A reasonable person in your society would probably agree with you.
If you approach a morbidly obese person and tell them their way of life is going to kill them…you may find resistance from the calorie-privileged and from society.
A loser pursues softcore vices because it’s a legal, acceptable way to kill yourself.
Pursuing pleasure is self-hatred. Pursuing mastery is self-love.
inauthentic intimate experiences
Inauthentic intimate experiences are the ‘fast food’ of intimacy. Pleasure without fulfillment. Inauthentic intimacy is a vice contained in the shell of another individual.
Inauthentic intimate experiences can be self-stimulation, adult-content, or prostitutes, whether that prostitution is physical or mental, with modern sins like OnlyFans and other lustful evils.
Intimate experiences that create shame in the mind and spirit are always inauthentic; shame tells you so. Shame notifications will be different for everyone.
Having no shame can mean the individual is not ashamed of their actions because the actions aren’t shameful. Some may repress the shame of their actions, which is self-immolation of the spirit. Repressed shame is still shame; ignoring a cavity in your mouth does not make it go away; the cavity rots until the tooth dies. Shame rots the spirit.
The spirit can wither and die if too much shame is accumulated.
A wanderer with self-love does not pursue shame.
One of the problems with inauthentic sexual experiences, is they create massive floods of dopamine that can make the small drops of dopaminergic rewards received when taking steps down the path to mastery harder to detect.
Lust can never be fulfilled. You will never have enough of what cannot be fulfilled, so do not pursue what cannot be fulfilled.
An inauthentic sexual experience is one pursued for pure pleasure.
Intimate experiences, members of the same or opposite sex, should not be pursued; you pursue goals along the path to mastery, taking steps forward. Authentic sexual experiences should be engaged in off the path, used to inspire progress, or directly progress down the path.
A “fling” or other short-term rendezvous can be authentic or inauthentic, depending on the circumstances of the rendezvous.
Self-stimulation is always an inauthentic intimate experience and should be avoided.
Self-stimulation drains your energy; any drain on your energy that does not come from the path reduces your ability and willingness to progress down the path, where fulfillment is.

Some use self-stimulation to repress guilt. Skipping studying for a test may be a terrible idea, but if an individual touches themselves, then skips their studies to pursue entertainment, they may not feel the shame, because they repressed it with self-stimulation. However, the shame and consequences of failing a test, or failing anything else, are always worse than the work to succeed.
Restraint from inauthentic intimate experiences gives energy, discipline, and inner fury that can be aimed down the path so one may use their fury in a constructive manner to go farther down the path.
Remember, pleasure cannot be fulfilled.
